Memory

Memory involves the ability to encode, store, and retrieve information, crucial for learning, decision-making, and maintaining cognitive health.
TARGET:
OVERVIEW

Memory is central to cognitive performance, enabling individuals to recall past experiences, apply knowledge, and adapt to new situations. Memory impairments can signal neurological conditions like Alzheimer’s, stroke, or brain injuries. Healthy memory function supports learning, social interactions, and emotional regulation, while deficits can severely impact independence and quality of life.

MEASUREMENT

Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS): Evaluates verbal and visual memory through tasks like story recall and recognition tests.

Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT): Assesses verbal memory and learning by having participants recall a list of words after repeated exposure.

Rey-Osterrieth Complex Figure Test: Tests visual memory by requiring participants to reproduce a detailed figure after viewing it.

QUESTIONNAIRE
Questionnaire Scores
Although evidence suggests a correlation between questionnaire scores and neurological health, it does not prove causality or guarantee brain health. Always consult a qualified medical practitioner before making any decisions regarding your health or lifestyle.
