Attention

Attention refers to the ability to focus on specific stimuli or tasks while ignoring distractions.
TARGET:
OVERVIEW

Attention is essential for processing information, problem-solving, and performing tasks efficiently. Impaired attention can result from neurological conditions like ADHD, traumatic brain injury, or dementia, impacting daily functioning and cognitive performance. Measuring attention provides insights into an individual's capacity to concentrate and manage competing demands.

MEASUREMENT

Trail Making Test (TMT): Measures visual attention and task-switching by connecting sequences of numbers and letters.

Digit Symbol Substitution Test (DSST): Evaluates attention and processing speed through symbol-matching tasks.

Stroop Test: Assesses selective attention by requiring participants to identify ink colors of conflicting written color names.

ASSESSMENT
QUESTIONNAIRE
Questionnaire Scores
Although evidence suggests a correlation between questionnaire scores and neurological health, it does not prove causality or guarantee brain health. Always consult a qualified medical practitioner before making any decisions regarding your health or lifestyle.
